August 2023 Financial Independence journey

Fun Fact:   the UK government spent 372bn pounds during first 18months COVID19 pandemic, 150bn went to “support” the business and 55bn as payouts to individuals.  Now the households have 22bn of debt in unpaid essential bills including utilities, council tax and tax credit over payments. Majority of them in “negative budget” households, when income doesn’t cover basic outgoings, meaning people sink further into debt.  Even it represents only 8% of COVID19 spent the government won’t do a thing.
