I am back into the seven region figures for the second time this year. It has a nice feeling to it despite being just a paper number and relatively small, given the rampant inflation.
With Make America Great Again I think that the USA stock market will benefit greatly in the short term (next 4 years). I had an opportunity and invest into the kids’ tax-free account some additional money – “the college fund”. A year of university in the UK is limited by the government at about $12K a year, living expenses (including rent) are about $2.5K a month. All together is $42K a year or $126K for a three-year bachelor ($168K for a four-year master). I only saved $85K per child or half of what is required.
Ideally, I would like to give them the same gift my parent gave me to – finish college debt free. The risk with the college fund is that the prices might go up and down and stay down for a long time.
