July 2022 Financial Independence update

Fun Fact:  In the UK in 1979 just over a third of the people in England liven in council housing built (owned and administered by the government).  The UK government introduced “Right to Buy” where people liver over three years in a government owned building could purchase it. More than 40% bought under that scheme and immediately rented out at three to four times the price of an equivalent property in the social housing.  Among the 35 eastern and western european countries the UK among lowest 20 per cent in term of home ownership (migrants, do take a note of that!).
